Notes | The Pacific Coast of North America is home to two species of eelgrass: the native Zostera marina, and the introduced Zostera japonica. This review looks at the two species, which are managed very differently in different parts of the West Coast. Should the invader be driven out and destroyed? Should it be ignored? The authors identify gaps in knowledge that limit resource managers’ ability to decide, and make recommendations for management and future research. |
