NotesRegarding a parasite causing skin growths, "Here again the fish had become unfit for food because of the unsightly appearance. The name of this parasite is Myxobolus squamae (Keysselitz).... This same parasite was found in cutthroat and steelhead trout taken in the Alsea and Big Elk rivers in Benton county during the winter. The cutthroats from the Big Elk contained large numbers and were in poor condition."
