Davis, of Corvallis, Ore., the owner of extensive oyster beds in Yaquina bay, has planted Japanese oysters in his beds and will experiment with them and see what success there is in raising them on the bay. The oyster shipment consisted of only two tubs and came from Kanagawa to the northward of Yokohama. They arrived in Corvallis in very good shape.” |
