NotesThis paper describes a cooperative program to help ports and harbors develop mitigation strategies in order to better withstand earthquake and tsunami hazards. Yaquina Bay, Oregon and Sinclair Inlet in Washington State were demonstration communities. The project included a community needs assessment, GIS-based assessment of vulnerabilities, an educational website and a regional data archive. Includes slides from the GIS assessment.
