Notes | The authors model an invasion of an introduced seagrass in Yaquina Bay. They predict it will grow rapidly for the first 20 years following its introduction. "This rapid expansion is followed by apparent cycles around an equilibrium point, and is unaffected by spatial scale differences." The authors believed that the Japanese eelgrass in Yaquina Bay was, at the time the article was written, in a cycle of "high population growth." (p.173) |
